Are you a dreamer who likes challenges? This historic c. 1857 structure was built by Joseph Crandon, a wooden ship builder; and in the late 19th century became a small Inn known as the COLUMBIA FALLS HOUSE. A dominant structure in the center of this beautiful village at the head of the tide. A previous owner began to dismantle the interior with plans for restoration, but did not complete the project. Although the exterior looks nearly the same as it did in the early 1900's post card that I have included, the interior needs a great deal of work by someone with imagination. The solid shell with reshingled roofs & some fresh paint is an indicator of what could be done, as the old post card of the RUGGLES HOUSE compared to a recent photo will show is possible. The owner currently lives on the 1st floor. The modern septic system was designed for a 5 bedroom Inn, that would work for a B & B or AIR B & B. Or a variety of other uses. Just a great community to live and work in!

As a licensed real estate brokerage, Estately has access to the same database professional Realtors use: the Multiple Listing Service (or MLS). That means we can display all the properties listed by other member brokerages of the local Association of Realtors—unless the seller has requested that the listing not be published or marketed online.
The MLS is widely considered to be the most authoritative, up-to-date, accurate, and complete source of real estate for-sale in the USA.
Estately updates this data as quickly as possible and shares as much information with our users as allowed by local rules. Estately can also email you updates when new homes come on the market that match your search, change price, or go under contract.
