The home was built by Steven H. Byrd as a project for Knoxville's Habitat for Humanity, Inc. in 2002. The home was built using the Knoxville TV show ''From the Ground Up''. As the home was being built, viewers had the opportunity to vote on various aspects of the home as it was being built. There were options presented for things such as floor plan, cabinets, kitchen counter tops, paint colors, carpet colors, kitchen appliances, ect. The option receiving the most votes was chosen for the home. Since the house was actually be purchased from Knoxville Habitat for Humanity, Inc., with all profits on the home going to them, many vendors donated upgraded items for the home such as an alarm system and Jacuzzi in the master bath.

As a licensed real estate brokerage, Estately has access to the same database professional Realtors use: the Multiple Listing Service (or MLS). That means we can display all the properties listed by other member brokerages of the local Association of Realtors—unless the seller has requested that the listing not be published or marketed online.
The MLS is widely considered to be the most authoritative, up-to-date, accurate, and complete source of real estate for-sale in the USA.
Estately updates this data as quickly as possible and shares as much information with our users as allowed by local rules. Estately can also email you updates when new homes come on the market that match your search, change price, or go under contract.
