Okay, YES, this home has been on the market for 60 days. You must be wondering at this point “What’s wrong with it? Why hasn’t it sold yet? It LOOKS nice…what are they hiding??” Let’s get those questions answered! The main drawbacks are likely one of these 3 things: 1) It may still smell like cigarette smoke, depending on how sensitive your nose is, and you really will have to experience it yourself before you rule out the house! Almost the entire home was refloored (all except the laundry room), air ducts were cleaned by Stanley Steemer, and the home was professionally cleaned (and also by amateur helpers!). We have acquired an Ozone machine to run periodically. 2) Bedrooms 2&3 are a little on the smaller side. You could always remove the wall in between to make one bigger room if they are not enough, OR you could ADD a wall in the dining room, converting it to a bedroom, as was intended in the original floor plan. 3) Either location or price. The price has been adjusted a couple times, with a recent drop to $375,000. Comparable properties do support our asking price, yet the sellers are willing to negotiate. We are looking for those buyers that enjoy the area, would love an acre of space, who may or may not want one-floor living and still have 2200+sf of living space, that would appreciate a paved crawl space (because we all know how unpleasant those can be otherwise!), and that would love this home as the *original* owners did. The cabinets are in amazing shape, there is so much room, and if you’re one of the 3 out of 5 buyers that says “it’s not that I don’t like people, I just really don’t want many neighbors”, then this may be the spot for you! So give 74 Taraila a chance before taking it off your tour list!
