Spiritual. This one word comes to mind when thinking about the grandeur and beauty found within the towering walls of timber outside Liberty, Texas, in a place named Striplin Marsh. A place teeming with wildlife, this property truly feels like a sanctuary. Be still and the breeze becomes a whisper and life is felt all around. Some properties are a testament to creation and the handiwork put into this landscape is living proof. Away from all the noise, this escape gives you a silence we all seek, one full of the soothing sounds nature provides. Personal retreat or corporate retreat, visitors to Striplin Marsh will all walk away feeling better than they arrived. For peace, adventure, or simply to bond, come visit Striplin Marsh. At 3,200 square feet, this is where rustic meets modern. In 2010, the owner cut and milled cypress (on site) from the property to construct the first 1,600 square feet. This section of the home has 14’ vaulted ceilings with an open concept, bringing the kitchen and dining areas and the living space into one. The large porch overlooks Striplin Marsh and is spacious enough for those large lounging rockers. The custom-built door takes you into the original cabin where you can find yourself a warm spot next to the antique 1908 stove on the hickory floor. With five duck blinds, six deer blinds, and two tree stands, this property is setup to hunt. The marsh attracts a variety of water fowl and other birds. The ducks in abundance includes Teal, Gadwells, Widgeons, Wood Ducks, Blue bills, and an occasional Mallard. The Whitetail deer are healthy and produce good quality bucks. Feral hogs are in abundance and get big with all that the forest provides; these move in and out from the Trinity River that is nearby. The property does participate in the MLD program. The program allows for two tags per year to harvest alligators which can be found mostly in the marsh area. The property routinely harvests alligators between 8 to 12 feet in length.

As a licensed real estate brokerage, Estately has access to the same database professional Realtors use: the Multiple Listing Service (or MLS). That means we can display all the properties listed by other member brokerages of the local Association of Realtors—unless the seller has requested that the listing not be published or marketed online.
The MLS is widely considered to be the most authoritative, up-to-date, accurate, and complete source of real estate for-sale in the USA.
Estately updates this data as quickly as possible and shares as much information with our users as allowed by local rules. Estately can also email you updates when new homes come on the market that match your search, change price, or go under contract.
