The 134.895 acres is located in the Standifer Survey, where William Bailey Standifer fought at the historic Battle of San Jacinto in 1836. This was the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution that was led by General Samuel Houston, and resulted in the defeat of General Santa Anna and his Mexican Army. Roger Arbuckle and Ronda Kirk are 8th generation Texans who are direct descendants of William Bailey Standifer who came to Texas in 1828 as a part of Stephen F Austin's Little Colony. Many special times have been enjoyed on this property by the family raising and working cattle, harvesting pecans from the 200 plus pecans trees along the banks of Little Sandy Creek. The pasture land is native Bermuda and Tifton 85. In 1997, 58 acres were root plowed, cleared of mesquites, and Tifton 85 was sprigged. This enabled the Arbuckles to run 1 cow and calf per 2 acres. Roger and his wife Kathy raised their 3 sons on the property for 10 years. They were able to teach their sons the values of hard work and stewardship of the land.

As a licensed real estate brokerage, Estately has access to the same database professional Realtors use: the Multiple Listing Service (or MLS). That means we can display all the properties listed by other member brokerages of the local Association of Realtors—unless the seller has requested that the listing not be published or marketed online.
The MLS is widely considered to be the most authoritative, up-to-date, accurate, and complete source of real estate for-sale in the USA.
Estately updates this data as quickly as possible and shares as much information with our users as allowed by local rules. Estately can also email you updates when new homes come on the market that match your search, change price, or go under contract.
