Chicago-Area Real Estate Prices by Transit Stop

Home prices vary across the Chicago real estate market, but Estately wanted to show how those prices vary depending on which transit stop a home is near. To do this, Estately analyzed the last six months of home sales for houses, townhouses, and condos within a half-mile radius of each transit stop on the CTA 'L' System's Red, Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Purple, Pink and Yellow Lines. We then broke them down by price per square foot.

At an average of $366 per square foot, the Grand Stop on the Red Line is the Chicago Area's most expensive transit stop to buy a home near. The Halsted Stop on the Green Line was the least expensive at $12 per square foot on average.

Overall, the line with the highest median home price per square foot was the Orange Line—$331, followed by the Purple Line—$326, Brown Line—$305, Pink Line—$270, Red Line—$198, Yellow Line—$164, and Green Line—$99.
