Marina Colony is a 32-unit townhome complex located across the street from the inlet, and walking distance from all of the restaurants, shops and bars of the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk. This coveted 2-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom end unit boasts a large, common courtyard and water views that no other units have. Over the last five years, the current owner has transformed this townhome into the entertainer's and/or outdoor enthusiast's dream. You'll find additional storage under the stairs and in the attic that's completely floored and has ample shelving. The upstairs living space was recently upgraded with luxury vinyl flooring (coastal grey) throughout. The master bedroom closet was recently upgraded as well with a custom, inset closet space from Ikea. The windows in the master bedroom are not original, and were replaced by the previous owner. Finally, an updated modern vanity was replaced in the upstairs bath for added space and a modern look. New, matching ceiling fans have been added to each room for added airflow and to complete the classic beach look that matches the hardwood stairs and white wainscoting walls (installed in April 2018). All of the doors have new hardware, including an electronic, keyless entry at the front door. The interior also has technological updates including an Ecobee wireless thermostat and stereo system, both of which can be monitored and controlled from your smartphone. For security purposes, there are front and rear motion and night sensor cameras also controlled from your smartphone app (both convey!). The low HOA fee has been the same price for decades and covers water, sewer, trash and yard maintenance. Additional amenities include free boat storage, an outdoor pool, and tennis courts. The 32 owners (via their HOA) just purchased a community marina and boat ramp (located just across the street), which grants access to day docks as well as boat slips for a discounted rental rate. All of the profit from the marina goes to further enhance the already well-funded reserve account. Although the roof is typically the responsibility of the owner, the HOA reserve account had enough money to repair all damaged roofing after Hurricane Matthew. They also recently resurfaced the tennis courts and added French drains. Exterior paint is also about to be completed by the HOA at no additional cost to owners.
