Enter for a chance to win an iPad mini

Here’s the deal… you’re a poetic person with a passion for homes who wants an iPad mini for free. We’re an award-winning real estate search site with a bare office wall we want to decorate with clever haikus describing our property listings. We come together on Twitter in the spirit of mutual self-interest and have a little haiku contest. One lucky entry will be selected at random and its author will receive a brand new 16GB iPad mini, in the color of his or her choice.

RULES:

  1. The haiku poem format is simple: 1st line—five syllables; 2nd line—seven syllables; 3rd line—five syllables. It’s 5-7-5. This format also provides the perfect opportunity to experiment with Twitter’s new line break capability—example here.
  2. The property listing must be one of the featured properties listed below or any other Estately listing of your choosing (SEARCH HERE). Any haiku using a property listing from another site will be determined invalid and will hurt our feelings.
  3. Entries must be submitted by 8pm EST on Friday, April 19, 2013
  4. Tweeted entries must include the link to the property listing the haiku is about and include the official contest hashtag #HouseHaiku
  5. Luddites and Twitterphobes can mail their entries via snail mail because, apparently, we’re legally required to accept those. However, here’s the catch paper wasters:  You have to get a Twitter account and follow @Estately because we’ll DM the winner.
  6. No more than two entries per day so there’s no sense in becoming a spam bot.
  7. Basically, entries should follow this simple format…
